About Circo Paraíso

Circo Paraíso is the alias of producer and DJ Diego Felice, a project anchored in a discography that consciously explores different branches of electronic music. "Rhythm" maps out a downtempo, cinematic electronica landscape, "Elevate" moves into trip‑hop and slow‑burn groove, and the forthcoming album "Double Twice" dives into experimental and IDM‑oriented territory, prioritising texture, detail and long‑form narrative over straightforward club peaks. Electric and acoustic guitars appear throughout these compositions as additional layers of tone and melody, blurring the line between electronic production and song‑based writing.

Around these releases, Circo Paraíso extends the same aesthetic into a broad spectrum of DJ sets with a strong only‑vinyl focus. As a dedicated vinyl collector with thousands of records, Diego builds sessions that foreground the warmth and depth of analogue sound, using the colour, imperfections and harmonic richness of records as a creative tool rather than a nostalgic gesture. Depending on the night, sets can move through progressive and melodic techno, deep house, chill‑out and lounge electronica, jazz‑inflected electronics, Latin and Afro house, and more high‑energy zones such as drum & bass, breakbeat and glitch‑driven hybrids, always treated as a continuous journey instead of isolated genre showcases.

In the studio, this world is shaped by an advanced hardware‑centered production setup. Elektron instruments handle intricate sequencing, sampling and rhythmic design, while a Sequential Prophet‑series polysynth covers rich harmonic work and evolving pads, Erica Synths gear contributes raw, characterful drums and modular‑style sound design, and layered electric and acoustic guitars add organic texture, resonance and contrast to the electronic framework. This combination of machines and strings allows for deep control over tone and movement, bridging the subtle detail of experimental and IDM‑leaning work with the punch and clarity needed for records that live comfortably on club systems and headphones alike.

Visual work runs in parallel to the music. Through micron‑pen sketchbooks, ink drawings, digital color and animation, Circo Paraíso develops a graphic language of symbols, textures and hidden narratives that reflects the layered, detailed approach of the tracks. These images become animated sequences and playlist concepts where drawings and textures are synchronised with DJ sets and unreleased material, turning each mix into a small audiovisual environment rather than a static cover, and offering another way into the same universe of rhythm, mood and abstraction.
